Vivo X21 Full Review: Amazing In-Display Fingerprint Sensor

Vivo has introduced their new smartphone Vivo X21 which is stylish, sleek. For the first time, vivo has something good on their smartphone. They have come with a new technology that is the in-display fingerprint scanner, which is first time India on any smartphone by any company. This phone was first showcased in annual consumer electronics show in January 2018. Vivo recently launches V9 which was sold well in Indian market. After a gap of two-month Vivo has come with their new phone Vivo X21. So, read this full article till last for Vivo X21 full review and to find if it is worth to buy this smartphone.

VIVO X21 DESIGN-

Vivo has made a very stunning design in Vivo X21 from other vivo smartphones so far. The smartphone design is very premium, looks sleeks and stunning. It is not much as premium as Huawei p20 pro or galaxy s9+ but it is alright in this price range. In design, it is mostly same as vivo V9 only without fingerprint in back as in Vivo V9. In back it has a glass and a metal design which is so premium to hold. The screen is bezelless and looks stunning. It has micro USB 2.0 port instead of type-c which is not fair. There is a 3.5mm headphone jack and secondary mic in the top of the phone. In left side, it has nothing in the phone. In right side, it has a power button and a volume rocker and in the downside it has a hybrid sim slot, charging port and a speaker grill. Overall in the design section, Vivo X21 has done a good job.

VIVO X21 DISPLAY-

The display of Vivo X21 is the highlighted key point of the smartphone. It has a notch on the top of the phone. It has a very vibrant and stunning display. The Vivo X21 has a 6.28-inch Full hd+ AMOLED display with 19:9 aspect ratio. The display panel has a good brightness contrast and color reproduction too. It doesn't have any option to hide the notch as in one plus 6. Another feature of this smartphone is it's always on display which you can able to see the missed calls, notifications. 

The most highlighted features of Vivo X21 till now is it's in-display fingerprint sensor. Vivo X21 is the first phone in India to have the in-display fingerprint sensor. The fingerprint sensor performs very fast. Overall, in display Vivo X21 is very good. 

VIVO X21 CAMERA-

The Vivo X21 comes with dual camera setup in the rear. It has 12MP with f/1.8 aperture and 5MP with f/2.4 aperture in the rear. The 12MP is the primary sensor while the 5MP will capture the depth effect. It has 12MP with f/2.0 aperture in the front camera. The rear camera has a LED flash whereas the front camera doesn't come with any flash. The rear camera takes outstanding images in decent light condition. In low light, it has an average performance. Overally Vivo X21 has a nice camera performance.

VIVO X21 ANDROID AND SOFTWARE-

The  Vivo X21 runs with android 8.1 out of the box. It has fun touch 4.0 which is very awesome. In software section, vivo has copied lots of details from ios, from icons to general appearance, launcher and many more. Overall  Vivo X21 is average in the software section.

VIVO X21 BATTERY-

 Vivo X21 Comes with 3200 mAh Li-polymer non-removable battery. The 3200 mAh battery will easily last for 8-9 hours on heavy usage and 10-11 hours on moderate usage. The main point is that it has fast charging support which will the charge the phone full in a couple of hours. Overall  Vivo X21 battery is very good.

VIVO X21 PERFORMANCE-

The  Vivo X21 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset which is not so fair in this price segment. It is a very common chipset in the mid-range phones. It comes with 6GB ram and 128GB storage. You can expand your storage upto 256GB by adding a micro SD card. The performance of  Vivo X21 is somehow good.

SHOULD YOU BUY IT-

 Vivo X21 is an all-rounder with performance, specification, decent camera and a new in-display fingerprint scanner. coming to price Vivo X21 will be bit expensive to the Indian customer whereas in this price option one plus 5T will be a great option or they can also go for recently launched oneplus 6. If you are a Vivo fan or you want to test in-display fingerprint sensor first before your friends, then without thinking go for the device and it is worth to buy this smartphone.
