In 2017, Reliance Jio has launched the 4G voLTE enable feature phone called Jiophone. Now on Thursday Reliance Jio has announced the launch of Jiophone 2 with Qwerty keyboard. This announcement was made by Isha Ambani while addressing the 41st AGM in Mumbai. The new Jiophone 2 will support Facebook, Youtube and Whatsapp like the Jiophone. The price of Jiophone 2 in India will be Rs.2999 and it will be available from August 15th 2018.
While addressing the 41st AGM, Mukesh Ambani said that "We have more than 25 million jiophone users now present in India. We are taking the previous Jiophone to the next level with added capabilities and functionalities.
Now coming to the overview of Jiophone 2, it comes with QVGA display which is also present in the previous Jiophone. The main highlight of Jiophone 2 is that it comes with a 4-row Qwerty keypad which looks cool. It supports dual sim. Now coming to the camera of Jiophone 2 it has a 2MP rear camera and a VGA front camera. The Jiophone 2 runs on KAI OS with RAM of 512MB and 4GB of internal storage.
Various connectivity option includes in Jiophone 2 are 4G VolTE, Wi-fi, Bluetooth, NFC, GPS, 3.5mm jack a microSD USB port. The Jiophone 2 is backed by 2000 mAh battery for which I think that it will easily last for a day. For further expansion of your storage, the Jiophone 2 has a microSD card slot. It has built-in Google Assistant which can be used in English and Hindi.
